Any Distance Between Us

Should the bird sitting on the chimney explain that it “feels lonely and disconnected” from the other birds on the antenna, we might laugh at it, responding: “Look, all you guys rest on one roof, don’t you see that?”

We human beings also rest in one world. And should we feel “lonely and disconnected” from loved ones, then such a sense arises from our currently limited worldview. We are afraid, so to speak, that our love is not arriving at the right places or stays with us and gets restrained within.

But our love is not lessened or diminished by which places, antennas or chimneys our physical body resides at. Our love exists regardless, like the air that carries the birds on all their travels.
